Do your courses award CEUs?

Wikipedia provides a good definition of CEUs here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuing_education_unit

Most of our courses provide Contact Hours (CHs) - Health e-Learning is an approved provider of continuing education by the Virginia Nurses' Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses' Credentialing Center (ANCC). ANCC Approval 07-01-01.

Please refer to your credentialing body or renewal application. You may be required to obtain education specific to your speciality. As a guide:

1 Contact Hour (CH)
= 1 CME or 0.1 CEU or 60 Minutes
1 CEU
= 10 Contact Hours

Can I get a copy of a certificate from a course that I am no longer enrolled in?

Replacement certificates incur an administration fee of US$15 each, and can be paid through the online enrolment form. Please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it first to check that a replacement is possible.

Recertifying by CERPs?

Almost all courses that we provide are accredited to award you with CERPs upon successful completion of the course.

You are encouraged to be selective about how you earn your CERPs. Your aim should be to choose courses that extend your current knowledge. For example if you work in one area a lot, then brushing up in areas you don't work will keep you current (eg work in the community: do Preterm Baby or First Week courses for CERPs).

Then there's the Advanced Practice series that we've just commenced, and the Experts-in-Lactation Lectures to listen to. They'll extend your knowledge and skills. And of course don't miss the GOLD conference each year!

We've also created a CERPs calculator - a handy tool that will help you find the quickest or most cost effective ways to earn your CERPs.
