Trudi Szallasi Scholarship Recipient 2010

Heidi Lam Yan YeeIt is with pleasure that we have awarded the Trudi Szallasi Memorial Scholarship to Lam Yan Yee Heidi of Hong Kong. Heidi is the mother of two children and an experienced and active La Leche League Leader. Heidi has identified a need in her community to provide additional support for Chinese-speaking mothers to increase the duration of exclusive breastfeeding.
We wish you all the very best with your studies Heidi and are delighted to have you studying with us

    Often we hear of Chinese mothers giving up on breastfeeding too soon as their are often told/made to believe that they are unable to produce enough milk and there is not much mother-to-mother support. Having a native speaking Chinese mom like Heidi to help Chinese moms is truly a blessing.

    May many more mothers in HK be inspired and empowed with the proper knowledge and support on breastfeeding :)
