Gold Conference
Posted 19th Feb By Kathy Foster
I am interested in the gold conference but being an IT novice i'm not quite sure I understand the process of listening to the sessions. Do they need to be downloaded, does it use a lot of the monthly allowance for download? If there is someone who is more IT savvy would you mind explaining it to me in simple terms.

Hi Kathy,

Our apologies for a delayed response.

You don't need any special technology to watch the presentations other than your internet browser.

We estimate that attending GOLD, and watching every single presentation may use up about 1.5GB (that is over estimatting). So check what your monthly usuage is and compare it to see if you will have enough.

Attending GOLD is very easy, most of our delegates are in a similar situation to you and don't necessarily use computers on a daily basis, so we try and make it very simple. You register online and will have a username and password. You log in to the website and will be able to see he schedule of live presentations.

You don't have to attend a live session (it may not be on at a convenient time for you), all presentations are recorded and you can watch them at any time during the conference period.

Watching a presentation is simple - you click on a link which opens up the presentation and plays like a video, similar to a YouTube video.
If you attend a live session, you can interact with other delegates by typing your questions or comments in the chat section as you watch.

There are many other features that you can take advantage of, but those are the basics.

Check out the GOLD10 website: www.goldconf.com
There is a 'Tour' and a section for frequently asked questions.

Early Bird Registrations are open now, hope to see you there!

Sam
