Have you read any studies which recommend one method of supplementation over another for term/near term babies in the early postpartum period? At my hospital in the US, we currently use tube feeding at the breast, paced bottle feeding, and rarely cup feeding based on our assessment of which method the parents will be able to perform successfully. We want to move towards more evidence based practice.
